Puppy Raiser
You may have seen our puppies live in campus housing! A lot of our trainers live in our campus housing where they raise the pups in the dorms. The sights and sounds help our dogs socialize and give the trainer opportunities to redirect focus and build upon commands such as "look."
What is a Puppy Raiser?
A puppy raiser trains a puppy from the age of 3 months to about 7-8 months old. These handlers work on training basic skills such a sit, paw and wait. They spend a lot of time slowly working on socialization which helps the puppy become more confident! Puppy raisers make sure that everything is a gradual process. They teach puppies basic skills and obedience.
